I had only ISO images, so I had to re-rip a game in cuesheet format in order to successfully add it to my OpenEmu game library. copying saves from one virtual memory card to another. Interestingly, in the case of PlayStation, Mednafen (the emulator used for the OpenEmu PlayStation core) does allow you to boot to the BIOS. OpenEmu’s “emulator core” for PS1 emulation is Mednafen, and this emulator requires all games be provided in cuesheet format. The UI doesn’t make it clear that it has done anything with the files, but the lack of warning is your indicator that they have been accepted. Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer any help.I tested out PlayStation support, and ran into a few obstacles before getting things to work. When I drop a CUE/BIN file combo, there is a busy sign for a moment, but files are not copied. Playstation has been enabled in Preferences. I have carefully checked that the MD5s are correct. I've been pulling my hair out over this most of the day. Playstation BIOS files have been added manually to the /Library/Application Support/OpenEmu/BIOS/ folder, drag did not work. Has anyone else had this issue? Could there be something I'm missing? If anyone here can think of any possible mistakes I could have made or other things that might be interfering with OpenEmu playing these ROMs, please let me know. I'm honestly at a loss, so I figured I'd ask for help with my specific problem. I feel like I've tried everything, but PS1 ROMs still aren't being recognized by OpenEmu (again, with the exception of one).

Apparently this is a fairly common issue, because I've found youtube videos and other guides that walk people through swapping in the right SPCH5whatever.bin BIOS files. If you have a set of BIN/CUE files, skip to step two. For OpenEmu to read and use a PlayStation game, it must exist as a file on the computer. Otherwise, finding CD images for games which you own online is possible and left as a risk for the reader to take. Double-click on the OpenEmu icon on your desktop.

Upon launching OpenEmu the first time, youll have to allow your Mac to run software from an unidentified developer and choose the emulators you want to download and run. Everything works but PS1 ROMs (except, for reasons entirely unknown to me, Gauntlet Legends - that plays just fine). This may require finding its appropriate BIOS files (check its settings). When the download is complete, the OpenEmu icon will appear on your desktop. I've been using OpenEmu to play Super NES ROMs, GBA ROMs, etc. I've scanned the threads here and haven't found anything to help me with this problem yet. I'm brand new to these forums and I'm not sure if this is the right place to be posting this, so I apologize in advance if it's not.
